TIDY TOWNS:
Our company is delighted to be an annual sponsor of Belmullet Tidy Towns. We love working with them on their different biodiversity projects. These projects include Upgrading of the community Town Farm, The award winning Great Yellow Bumblebee project and The Butterfly Sensory garden at the canal.

All Ireland Pollinator Plan (AIPP):
We have been business supporters of the AIPP since 2019. We submit an annual review of our actions and map them accordingly.
The All-Ireland Pollinator Plan is a framework bringing together different sectors across the island of Ireland to create a landscape where pollinators can survive and thrive. Implementation is coordinated by the National Biodiversity Data Centre.
Tir Aire:
To combine our biodiversity and community engagement targets we approached a local care home to see if they were interested in implementing a pollinator project for their residents. We sponsored raised flower beds and pollinator seeds as well as pollinator friendly information. This has been very successful, and we aim to continue our annual support.
Play School:
To further combine our targets, we approached a local playschool to see if they were interested in a pollinator activity. We sponsored bug hotels which the children decorated while learning fun pollinators from the Junior Pollinator Plan. We enjoyed this project and aim to continue our annual support.
Shore Line Biodiversity Information Signs:
Over the past few years our main office had a street facing window which we used to share and promote biodiversity information for Tidy Towns. In 2024 we moved offices, and this was no longer an option. Trying to think of something new and exciting we approached Belmullet Tidal Pool and agreed to Sponsor both water safety and Explore Your Shore information boards.
We decided to do each sign Bi-Lingual, in English and Irish to support efforts of the Belmullet Towns application to become a Gaeltacht Service Town.
Leave No Trace Awareness Training:
In 2024 staff members participated in a Leave No Trace Awareness training day to explore new ways of actively supporting biodiversity and reducing our carbon footprint.
