Origin Green (www.origingreen.ie) is Ireland’s food and drink sustainability programme. It is a voluntary programme, led by Bord Bia, that brings together our food industry – from fishermen to food producers, retailers to foodservice operators – with the common goal of sustainable food production
In 2019 we became certified Origin Green Members. A big achievement for our company which has gone from strength to strength.
In both 2023 and 2024 we were very proud to achieve Gold Member status for our sustainability commitments and community engagement. To attain Origin Green Gold Membership a company must demonstrate exceptional annual performance in areas such as raw material sourcing; water and energy efficiency; waste reduction; packaging; and social sustainability.
The overall ambition of the Origin Green programme is that food manufacturing businesses throughout Ireland sign up to the sustainability agenda, making measurable commitments which are independently assessed and verified. Ireland’s food business members commit to a mandatory mix of target areas specified by the Origin Green charter.
